QC Lab Associate — Hands-On GMP Testing

Job summary

Staffing Resource Group, Inc. seeks a Lab Associate in Largo, FL to support the Quality Control team with sample management, basic tests, and routine lab tasks. The role trains you to collect swab samples and run analyses to keep manufacturing equipment available.

You will work a Wednesday–Sunday schedule, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, at a GMP-regulated site. The position starts as contract with potential to go permanent, offering hands-on learning and growth in a life sciences environment.

Qualifications

• Some college (Science, Technical) preferred, but minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years working in cGMP environment (pharmaceutical or related industry experience preferred).
• Basic handwriting with legibility
• Basic math skills
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel)
• Availability to work longer hours and or weekends as needed
• Clear comprehension of the English language: read, write, and interpret

Responsibilities

• Maintains sample organization.
• Receives samples from production and fills out the chain of custody logbook.
• Communicates issues with sample receipts directly to manufacturing.
• Prints testing standards and issues worksheets for samples, including bulk, packaged goods, stability, and validations.
• Creates test packets for techs/chemists and stages them on the sample shelf with documentation.
• Retains finished packaged product.
• Manages the QC retain cage cleanliness and order.
• Fulfills retain sample requests from other departments (e.g., customer complaints).
• Assists with archival of lab data packets and other docs as directed.
• Manages lab glassware and plasticware washing processes.
• Soaks, cleans, dries, and stores lab glassware daily.
• Maintains soak solutions and safety practices for disposal and replacement.
• Performs preventative maintenance on lab dishwasher and drying oven.
• Manages process to send out critical lab samples for external testing with courier coordination.
• Performs basic lab testing such as organoleptic, pH, and viscosity.
• Performs various housekeeping tasks in the lab as assigned.
• Performs various administrative tasks as assigned by supervision/management
