Qualifications

• Basic understanding of fundamental accounting concepts (debits, credits, and basic financial statements).
• Strong computer literacy and comfort with cloud-based software platforms.
• Extreme attention to detail with the ability to spot anomalies in numbers and descriptions.
• Analytical mindset with strong critical thinking to solve workflow discrepancies.
• Clear verbal and written communication to collaborate with field technicians, project managers, and vendors.
• Prior experience with restoration software (Xactimate, Encircle, Jobber) is a plus but not required.
• No prior extensive QuickBooks experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Learn and navigate QuickBooks Online, workflows, and automated banking feeds.
• Input and categorize daily operational transactions including field purchases, supplies, and safety gear.
• Match bank and card feed transactions with invoices, receipts, and estimates.
• Learn job-costing workflows by allocating expenses, mileage, and labor hours to projects.
• Assist with accounts receivable by preparing invoices and tracking payments.
• Enter vendor bills into accounts payable and monitor due dates.
• Help reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card accounts.
• Digitally file receipts, work orders, and insurance payout letters to QBO entries.
• Attend QBO training sessions and pursue Intuit ProAdvisor certifications.
