StraussGroup Executive Search is confidentially assisting a growing retail business with a full-time, in-house bookkeeping role centered on QuickBooks Online. You will manage daily entries, AP, payroll, and cash flow while ensuring accurate month-end close and year-end CPA support.

The position requires strong Excel skills, integrity, and the ability to translate numbers for non-financial stakeholders. Based in Buffalo, NY, this is an on-site, W-2 role with no remote arrangement.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Proven ability to own tasks and partner with others
• Integrity and discretion with financials
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables
• Ability to translate numbers for non-financial stakeholders
• Associates degree or higher in Accounting/Finance preferred
• Multi-state sales tax knowledge for e-commerce is a differentiator

Responsabilidades

• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online
• Enter daily journal entries from POS reports and reconcile across platforms
• Manage accounts payable: invoices, weekly payments, ACH, credit cards, W-9/1099 tracking
• Prepare weekly 13-week cash flow projections
• Process payroll through the company provider including commissions
• Reconcile bank activity across multiple accounts/entities
• Close monthly: P&L, Balance Sheet, A/P aging, cash flow, inventory turns
• Support year-end CPA with financials and close
• Handle light HR tasks and onboarding paperwork
