COIT is seeking a motivated QuickBooks Online (QBO) Trainee to join its financial team in Sparks, NV. This entry-level role focuses on learning QBO while supporting daily accounting tasks for a fast-paced restoration business.

You will work under senior staff to gain hands-on experience in job costing, invoicing, and reconciliations, with clear pathways toward becoming a full-charge bookkeeper or accounting specialist.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of fundamentals: debits, credits, financial statements.
• Strong comfort with cloud-based software platforms.
• Extreme attention to detail; spot anomalies in numbers and descriptions.
• Analytical mindset to troubleshoot workflow discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Learn and navigate QuickBooks Online ecosystem and banking feeds.
• Input and categorize daily transactions (purchases, supplies, safety gear).
• Match bank/credit card feeds to invoices, receipts, estimates.
• Allocate expenses to restoration projects for job-costing.
• Prepare customer invoices and track payments from clients and insurers.
• Enter vendor bills and manage accounts payable, monitor due dates.
• Assist with monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Digitally file receipts, work orders, and payout letters to QBO.
• Attend QBO training and pursue Intuit ProAdvisor certifications.
