Job summary

Exel BPO (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a QA Assistant & Assistant Trainer for its UK Accountancy team. This on-site role in Dehiwela–Mount Lavinia focuses on maintaining quality standards, reviewing accounting work, and delivering training to junior staff. Strong UK accounting knowledge and communication with UK clients are essential.

The successful candidate will improve accounting accuracy, guide technical development, and support continuous team growth within the UK Accountancy unit.

Qualifications

• Review bookkeeping records for accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of UK VAT accounting and flat rate schemes.
• Experience preparing and reviewing CIS returns.
• Knowledge of FRS 102, Section 1A and FRS 105.
• Experience with CT600, Section 455, CT61, deferred tax and marginal relief.
• Experience reviewing personal tax returns (employment, dividends, rental, capital gains).
• Experience processing and reviewing payroll calculations and submissions.

Responsibilities

• Identify knowledge gaps and provide technical guidance to junior accountants and bookkeepers.
• Train junior staff and ensure QA consistency across the UK Accountancy team.
• Coordinate with UK clients and maintain clear English communication.
