Job summary

Wells Enterprises, Inc. in Iowa seeks a Quality Manufacturing Supervisor to lead day-to-day QA activities, ensuring food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.

You will supervise direct reports, drive SQF compliance, HACCP and PCQI initiatives, and collaborate with QA and Plant Operations to sustain a continuous improvement culture. Schedule: Wed–Sat, with potential shift to Thu–Sun.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/quality control experience in food or nutritional product manufacturing/retail.
• Experience in FDA/USDA regulated environments is required.
• PCQI, HACCP and SQF certifications required or to be obtained within 1 year in role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day QA teams and monitor food safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Oversee training and qualification of direct reports and ensure compliance with QMS/SOPs.
• Optimize labor schedules to balance coverage with cost and quality monitoring needs.
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure SQF, GMPs, and safety programs are followed.
• Drive corrective actions and audits for SQF and other regulatory programs.
• Communicate with all levels to maintain awareness of quality goals and performance.
