Job summary

Zippy is seeking a Manager of Quality Assurance to lead its pre-close and post-close QA programs across the loan origination lifecycle. You will coach QA analysts, manage performance, ensure policy-based findings, and escalate systemic risks while coordinating with Origination, Underwriting, Operations, and Compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in mortgage, consumer lending, manufactured housing lending, loan operations, underwriting, quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or a comparable financial services function.
• 3+ years of direct people-management experience, including coaching, performance management, training, workload planning, and employee development.
• Experience overseeing both pre-close and post-close quality reviews strongly preferred.
• Strong investigative and research skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems and document supportable conclusions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage disputes and escalations objectively and build alignment across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QA team for pre-close and post-close loan reviews and develop coaching plans for performance.
• Oversee QA reviews across the full loan origination process and ensure timely, accurate outcomes.
• Maintain strong quality controls by monitoring findings, regulatory and investor requirements, and calibration results.
• Translate QA data into actionable insights for management and drive process improvements.
• Lead cross-functional QA discussions and establish escalation procedures for disputed findings.
