Job summary

DEFCON AI is seeking a QA Engineer to own quality for an AI-enabled decision-support system. You will create the test plan, automate coverage, and provide evidence that releases meet specifications. This role sits on the product side, reporting to product while collaborating with engineering and platform daily.

You will build executable tests, drive automated coverage, and ensure evidence is produced independently of model builders. This is a fully remote role with travel up to 25% as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software quality engineering, test automation, or related roles.
• A clear point of view on testing approaches and standard-setting.
• Strong coding ability in test automation languages and frameworks.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and automated testing.
• Ability to own a test plan through review and acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Own the system test plan covering functional, integration, performance, and load testing.
• Translate product acceptance criteria into executable tests.
• Review acceptance criteria with product and ensure verifiability.
• Build and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD integration.
• Plan user acceptance testing and track findings to resolution.
• Maintain test environment parity with production with platform teams.
