Job summary

DEFCON AI is seeking a QA Engineer to own quality for an AI-enabled decision-support system. You will define the test strategy, build automated coverage, and ensure delivered work matches specifications. This role sits on the product side and reports to Product Lead while collaborating with engineering and platform teams.

The position is fully remote with travel up to 25% to DEFCON AI HQ, customer sites, and vendor facilities as required.

• Own the system test plan covering functional, integration, performance, and load testing.
• Build and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD integration.
• Design evidence and testing criteria to ensure delivered work matches specifications.

Responsibilities

• Own the system test plan covering functional, integration, performance, and load testing.
• Translate acceptance criteria into executable tests and verify them against code.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and platform to ensure testing aligns with requirements.
• Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing with customers and track findings to resolution.
• Build automated test suites and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline as release gates.
