Job summary
DEFCON AI is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own complex AI-enabled decision-support experiences, replacing legacy systems with a unified workspace. You will work across discovery to delivery, partnering with product and engineering, and shaping the design practice in a fully remote role with travel up to 25%.
You will run structured discovery, craft interactive prototypes, ensure 508/WCAG accessibility, and design for explainable AI outputs.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of product or UX design experience, with shipped, enterprise-grade applications.
- Led end-to-end design from discovery through a shipped interface.
- Senior designer with scope to set direction; no higher design lead.
- Design approach includes discovery-to-delivery workflows.
- Experience designing data-heavy interfaces: dashboards and queues.
- Advanced prototyping ability in Figma or equivalent.
- Accessibility fluent: Section 508 and WCAG.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities
- Run structured discovery with end users: interviews, shadowing, and workflow observation.
- Produce current/future state workflow maps for reviews.
- Design end-to-end workspace: queue, record view, panels, dashboards.
- Collaborate with product and engineering; review builds against design.
- Develop reusable patterns and contribute to design system growth.
