Job summary

UtiliQuest, LLC is seeking a Field Supervisor in West Columbia, SC to lead a team of Damage Prevention Technicians and ensure quality, safety, and performance standards. The role involves planning, audits, performance reviews, and strong client relations to support our nationwide utility damage prevention programs.

The Field Supervisor reports to the Operations Center Manager and will coordinate staffing, safety initiatives, and daily time reporting while advancing project goals and customer

Qualifications

• Completes and maintains all training
• Drive safely and follow company safe driving policies
• Maintain punctuality and attendance at all shifts and training sessions
• Perform work in all weather conditions, during normal and after hours
• Regular use of hands and fingers to operate specialized equipment and tools
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Hearing and speaking to exchange information
• The employee shall follow all safety rules at all times
• Will need to have the ability to work a flexible schedule (some evenings and weekends) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and supervise a team of Damage Prevention Technicians who are driven and understand the key performance indicators and economic engines of the business.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture for all employees.
• Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings to ensure quality control is in place.
• Conduct audits on field personnel to ensure quality standards are being met.
• Conduct performance reviews and provides regular performance feedback and development opportunities for technicians
• Create and maintain good working relationships with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public
• Assist Center Manager in identifying strengths and weaknesses of Damage Prevention Technicians.
• Assist Technicians with locating difficult to find utilities.
• Collaborate with the HR and Talent Acquisition Team to identify staffing needs, interview and make final hiring decisions.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe manner and maintain a professional appearance
• Validate and approve daily personnel time reports
• Develops, mentor and evaluate technicians and has the overall responsibility for employee engagement and morale.
• Complete JSO’s (Job Safety Observations) of technicians
• Ticket production and weekend work required, as needed.
• Completes other duties, as needed
