Job summary

Braven, Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer on the Systems team to ensure our student- and staff-facing software is reliable, accessible, and easy to use.

You will shape test plans, expand automated coverage (Playwright/Cypress), and collaborate with engineers to write unit and integration tests while maintaining quality discipline.

This hybrid, Chicago-based role requires 3 days onsite weekly and a proactive approach to QA, data validation, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in QA/software testing, or 2+ years in professional software engineering with testing.
• At least 1 year working with test automation and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for web and API features across key integrations.
• Develop and expand automated UI/API tests and improve testability.
• Coordinate regression testing and release verification with engineers.
