Job summary

Braven is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design and delivery of the platform, tools, and automation powering our programs. You will own end-to-end initiatives across learning platforms, data systems, and AI/automation, mentoring engineers as the team grows.

The role emphasizes architecture, code quality, security, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, reporting to the Sr Dir of Software Engineering. This is a hybrid position in Chicago or Newark.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack proficiency across backend, frontend, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship complex features across our platform, data pipelines, and program automation.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and drive testing and observability best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and stay current on industry trends.
