Job summary

Baird’s Quality Assurance Automation Engineer intern program invites students to gain hands-on experience in a hybrid setting in downtown Milwaukee, WI. You will work with QA Automation Analysts and Business Process Engineers on meaningful, production-relevant projects in an agile environment.

Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a tech field with interest in Playwright, browser automation, test design, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, MIS, IT, business analytics, data science, finance with tech concentration or related.
• Anticipated graduation date May 2028 or later.
• Completed coursework or project experience in software development, information systems or process analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build automated regression coverage for selected workflows and support manual testing for active releases.
• Develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Playwright with TypeScript within the QA automation framework.
• Convert requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria into clear test scenarios and reusable automated test scripts.
• Create or enhance reusable page objects, workflow components, test-data utilities and validation functions for processes.
• Analyze automated test results, investigate failures and improve reliability and maintainability.
