Job description

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer for a hybrid contract in Austin, TX (Remote: Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays | Onsite: Tuesdays and Wednesdays). This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, capable of working independently on complex initiatives and contributing to large-scale system enhancements.

Responsibilities

The QA Automation Engineer will perform Quality Assurance activities for a contract operations application, supporting efforts to enhance and modernize a system used for contract management, monitoring, and compliance. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining automated test cases using Playwright or similar tools, as well as creating and executing manual and automated test scripts. The role involves establishing test execution plans, scheduling automated test runs, tracking execution results, and producing required reporting. The engineer will log and track defects using Jira, develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices, and support development teams across development, testing, UAT, and production environments. Additional duties include troubleshooting test cases, leading UAT activities when needed, and participating in Agile processes. On-call support may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in manual test script execution
• 8 years of experience in automated QA testing
• 8 years of experience in QA test script creation
• 8 years of experience in performance testing

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of previous experience in QA automated test case reporting
• 3 years of previous experience in Agile, Scrum, Jira, XRay, or Zephyr
• 3 years of knowledge of accessibility testing
