Job summary

Atkore is seeking a PVC Manufacturing Material Handler for the day shift (8:00am–8:00pm). This on-site role supports extrusion lines, quality checks, and safe handling of finished PVC products.

Training for forklift operation will be provided, and the pay is $18.50 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math skills for quick counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Confirm the product running on each extrusion line with the Production schedule.
• Assist with Quality Control duties including monitoring saw cuts, pipe length, bell fit, print line confirmation, chamfer/bevel, and reference line spacing.
• Weigh and transport finished product via forklift (Atkore certification will be provided).
• Cut crate boards to proper lengths and adjust if needed.
• Assist with the start-up and changeover of the PVC extrusion lines.
• Understand how to get pipe into specification.
• Identify pipe products that are out of specification.
• Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas.
• Proficient with all material handling and packaging devices.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
