Job summary

Atkore International in Louisville, KY is hiring a PVC Manufacturing Material Handler for the day shift (8:00am–8:00pm) at $18.50/hr with a $1.00/hr shift differential. You will confirm production lines, assist with quality control, and package finished pipe.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, maintaining safety, and supporting extrusion line changeovers. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong math and attention to detail, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong math skills for counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Confirm the product running on each extrusion line with the Production schedule.
• Assist with Quality Control duties: monitor saw cuts, pipe length, bell fit, print line confirmation, chamfer/bevel, and reference line spacing.
• Package finished pipe in proper crate quantities.
• Weigh and transport finished product via forklift (Atkore certification provided).
• Cut crate boards to proper lengths and adjust as needed.
• Assist with start-up and changeover of PVC extrusion lines.
• Understand how to get pipe into specification and identify out-of-spec products.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment; comply with procedures and rules.
• Proficient with all material handling and packaging devices.
