Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Machine Operator I for the day shift (8:00am - 8:00pm) to run PVC extrusion lines and ensure products meet specifications. You will master computerized extrusion and printing systems, test measurements, and inspect prints for quality and tolerances.

The role requires attention to detail, reliable math skills, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and a safety-first mindset in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Training in Atkore’s processes will be provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong math skills for counting and calculations.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Safety-focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with PVC extrusion or ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to read micrometers and O.D. tapes.
• Ability to change print lines.

Responsibilities

• Run all aspects of the PVC extrusion lines ensuring product meets specifications.
• Understand and master the computerized systems associated with extrusion, control, and printing technologies.
• Test and measure product to ensure pipe products are made in conformance with required specifications.
• Inspect print, wall, O.D., length, appearance, and bell fit on all lines.
• Identify quality issues.
• Complete Quality Control forms accurately and correctly.
• Monitor pipe physicals.
