Job summary

Atkore International is hiring a Machine Operator I for the day shift (8:00am – 8:00pm) in Louisville, KY. You will run PVC extrusion lines and ensure products meet specifications, while learning the extrusion controls and printing processes.

We value safety, attention to detail, and strong math skills. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Competitive hourly pay from $23/hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with PVC extrusion or ability to learn quickly.
• Strong math skills for counting and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Run PVC extrusion lines to meet specifications.
• Operate and master extrusion control and printing technologies.
• Test and measure product to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Inspect print, wall, OD, length, appearance, and bell fit on lines.
• Identify quality issues and complete QC forms accurately.
• Monitor pipe dimensions and weight; package finished pipe.
