Job summary

Atkore International seeks a PVC Manufacturing Material Handler for the night shift (8:00pm-8:00am). The role involves aligning production with schedules, assisting QC, and handling finished pipe with a forklift. You'll support line start-ups, monitor quality, and keep areas clean and safe.

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma, basic math skills, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Atkore offers comprehensive benefits and a shift differential of $1.00/hr for this night shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Good understanding of basic math for quick counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Confirm the product running on each extrusion line with the production schedule.
• Assist with Quality Control duties (saw cuts, pipe length, bell fit, line spacing).
• Package finished pipe in proper crate quantities.
• Weigh and transport finished product using forklift (Atkore certification provided).
• Cut crate boards to proper lengths and adjust as needed.
• Assist with start-up and changeover of PVC extrusion lines.
• Ensure pipe meets specification and identify out-of-spec items.
• Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas.
• Proficient with all material handling and packaging devices.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and rules.
