SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations on active projects, with opportunities to work remotely or in a hybrid setup in the US. You will collaborate with internal teams to collect data, analyze performance, and prepare reports that support commissioning and ongoing optimization.

The role emphasizes safety, data-driven problem solving, and leadership in coordinating engineers and technicians across field and office settings.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ Years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering, Capacity Testing (ASTM E2848 & IEC standards) and PV data analytics.
• Experience in modeling using software like PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office tools.
• Experience with programming languages like Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java, and others preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of time.
• Broad understanding of the Renewable Energy industry with emphasis on Service and Construction preferred.
• Strong communication skills to clearly articulate vision into an executable plan and clearly communicate details and thoughts to internal/external clients.

• Collaborate with internal teams to collect and consolidate necessary data to complete reports, acceptance tests, other analytical tools, and deliverables.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s internal Performance Team platforms.
• Track critical issues within the construction and/or operational fleet and share findings with internal teams.
• Troubleshoot performance data/equipment to determine challenges and correlate with workorder data for reporting.
• Lead Performance Engineers & Analysts in coordinating and managing operational activities.
• Maintain understanding of site design, equipment and issues affecting projects.
• Analyze energy losses and system performance and communicate impacts to teams using internal tools.
• Update reports for clients including commissioning plans, test reports, operation reports, vitals, forecasting, and yearly guarantees.
• Support prioritization of field work based on criticality and failures.
• Identify issues and coordinate with OEM vendors, field technicians, SCADA engineers, and others as needed.
• Assist and support data analytics and software tools development.
• Review performance and operations reports to ensure accuracy and identify issues.
• Manage plant performance optimization initiatives and collaborate across teams and with clients.
• Track and understand contractual guarantees and conduct periodic risk/review meetings.
• Maintain clear documents and procedures for internal reference and training.
• Facilitate project reviews and ad-hoc client requests to address performance; escalate as needed.
• Review turnover documentation to identify root causes for equipment underperformance and failures.
• Run PV system energy models for Utility Scale Solar PV Projects using PVsyst or other tools.
