Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations on active PV projects. This role supports data-driven reporting, fleet optimization, and coordination with field teams. Remote or hybrid work is possible with in-office presence in select locations.

The position emphasizes PV modeling, data analysis, and collaboration across engineers, vendors, and clients to deliver reliable project performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years in PV Performance Engineering, Capacity Testing (ASTM E2848 & IEC) and PV data analytics.
• Experience with modeling software like PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM, etc.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools; programming experience in Python/MATLAB/Java preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect data for reports, tests, and analyses.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues and optimize fleet performance with other engineers & analysts.
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data for reporting.
• Lead daily coordination of operational activities and project ownership.
• Understand site design, equipment, and current issues affecting projects.
• Analyze energy losses and performance impacts from outages or underperformance.
• Update client reports with commissioning plans, test reports, vitals, and forecasts.
• Prioritize field work based on criticality and failures.
