Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to oversee day-to-day operations on active solar, storage, and high-voltage projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR.

You will analyze energy performance, coordinate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure safety and quality in delivery. The position offers growth within a fast-growing renewable energy leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in PV performance engineering or data analytics is required.
• Proficiency with PV modeling tools and programming is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active projects.
• Ensure safety and compliance across the team and field operations.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s Performance Team platforms.
• Collaborate with teams to track issues and optimize fleet performance.
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data for reporting.
• Lead junior engineers in coordinating operational tasks and reporting.
• Analyze energy losses and system performance from outages/underperformance.
• Update client reports including commissioning plans and vitals.
