Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to oversee the day-to-day operations of active solar, storage, and HV projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR.

Specific locations and expectations will be discussed in the interview process. You will collaborate across teams, manage reporting and onboarding, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safety and reliability of the fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering or data analytics.
• Experience with PV modeling software (PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM).
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Experience with Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java, or similar languages.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of time.
• Knowledge of Renewable Energy industry with emphasis on Service/Construction preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational activities of active projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect data for reports and tests.
• On-board active projects into internal Performance Team platforms.
• Triage and troubleshoot performance data and equipment.
• Review reports and ensure accuracy; communicate findings to clients.
• Support data analytics and software tools development.
