Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to oversee day-to-day operations on active projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR; location details discussed in interview.

Responsibilities include data collection, reporting, fleet optimization, and cross-team collaboration, with a strong emphasis on safety and performance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering or data analytics.
• Experience with PV modeling software such as PVSyst, PlantPredict, and SAM.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience with programming languages like Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of time.
• Broad Renewable Energy knowledge with service/construction exposure preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Analytical problem-solving and ownership mindset.
• Mentor and oversee junior Performance Engineers I/II.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as the top priority across the team.
• Collaborate to collect data and deliver reports, acceptance tests, and analyses.
• On-board active projects into internal Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues and share findings to optimize fleet performance.
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data.
• Lead day-to-day operational activities for projects.
• Analyze energy losses and performance impacts from outages.
• Maintain understanding of site design and equipment issues.
• Update client reports including commissioning plans and test reports.
• Support field teams in prioritizing work based on criticality.
