Job summary

Cherry Street Energy is seeking an O&M Technician to support the Operations & Maintenance team in maintaining PV systems infrastructure and electrical equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance to prevent issues, ensuring maximum solar generation. Reports to the Manager of O&M.

Responsibilities include maintaining 95% uptime, precise issue tracking, and use of various monitoring and CMMS tools. Domestic travel within Georgia is expected with potential future expansion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in technical troubleshooting, system commissioning, and/or PV O&M in a field-based environment.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical testing equipment (torque tools, multimeters, insulation testers, I-V tracers, thermal cameras, ohmmeters, earth ground testers).
• Familiarity with monitoring platforms (Wattch/AlsoEnergy/Locus, EGauge, SMA SunnyPortal, SolarEdge, Enphase).
• Familiarity with NEC 2014-2023 and NFPA 70B 2023 in PV systems.
• Proficiency with Procore, Smartsheet, Google Enterprise, SolarGrade, and CMMS software.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize O&M activities to maintain minimum 95% uptime across projects.
• Identify, record and correct issues with precision and detail.
• Record work activities using required applications and systems.
• Contribute to continuous development of Cherry Street Energy O&M systems.
• Create scalable systems and procedures in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Communicate across business units for daily operational excellence; work independently when needed.
• Travel primarily within Georgia; some travel outside may be required in the future.
