Job summary

Cherry Street Energy is seeking an O&M Technician to support the operations and maintenance team in maintaining PV systems and electrical equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance to prevent costly issues and work with the team to maximize power generation. This role reports to the Manager of O&M.

Responsibilities include prioritizing maintenance activities, documenting work, and contributing to process improvements. Occasional travel within Georgia is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in PV operations and maintenance in a field-based environment.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical testing equipment (torque tools, multimeters, etc.).
• Familiarity with PV monitoring platforms (Wattch/AlsoEnergy/Locus, SMA SunnyPortal, SolarEdge, Enphase).
• Knowledge of NEC 2014-2023 and NFPA 70B 2023.
• Proficient with digital tools including Procore, Smartsheet, and CMMS.
• Ability to learn new software platforms and use MS Word/Excel effectively.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize O&M activities to maintain minimum 95% uptime.
• Identify and record issues with precision and detail.
• Record work activities in required systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of O&M processes.
• Create scalable procedures in a dynamic environment.
• Communicate across units and work independently when needed.
• Travel mainly within Georgia; occasional out-of-state travel may occur.
