Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. seeks an Assistant Commissioning Manager to oversee testing and commissioning of HV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Photovoltaic (PV) projects nationwide.

You will collaborate with the Commissioning Manager and subject-matter experts to ensure installations are tested and commissioned safely and to project specs, delivering reliable renewable energy assets. This hybrid role requires on-site presence at job sites with partial remote work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with NFPA/NEC, IEEE/IES/API standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project commissioning team and provide guidance, training, and support.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status of each project.
• Develop milestone lists, commissioning plans, and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Create and maintain integrated P6 testing and commissioning schedules, updated weekly.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
