Job summary

SOLV Energy, a national leader in solar, battery storage and substations, seeks an Assistant Commissioning Manager to support planning, execution, and oversight of testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects. You will work with the Commissioning Manager and SMEs to ensure systems are installed, tested, and commissioned to project requirements and safety standards.

This hybrid role requires on-site presence at job sites with partial remote work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issues.
• Familiarity with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project commissioning team with guidance and training.
• Report daily on the status of each project assigned.
• Develop commissioning plans, milestones, and procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA teams.
• Prepare and review commissioning tests and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Travel as required for on-site commissioning.
