Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Purchasing Support professional in Peoria, IL to assist buyers and contract admins with clerical and procedural tasks. This onsite role involves data entry in the Purchasing system, maintaining PO records, and generating supplier performance reports for a large supplier base.

You will support expediting and de-expediting, assist with accounts payable reconciliation, and help coordinate documents such as shipping notices and memos to keep purchasing activities efficient.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Previous experience in purchasing support role.

Responsibilities

• Data entry into Purchasing system, supplier setup, part information, and purchase order maintenance to keep files current.
• Prepare shipping notices, debit/credit memos, quotes, and forms to support purchasing activities.
• Maintain supplier performance reports for delivery timing to support expediting efforts.
• Answer calls, screen inquiries, and support buyer/contract administrator activity.
• Provide daily direction to co-ops to maximize their effectiveness.
