Job summary

Cox Fleet Automotive, headquartered in Indianapolis, is hiring a Purchasing Coordinator I to manage data entry and professional phone/email communication with internal and external customers. The role supports the CAMFS priorities and requires accurate information handling and reporting.

The ideal candidate will multitask, maintain a positive image, and collaborate with technicians and managers on repairs, parts, and invoicing while learning DFS IT systems and related tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of related field experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Excel and Word; ability to learn new systems quickly (DFS IT Systems, Web Wrench, MobileFrame, RO Writer).
• Knowledge of the trucking industry or fleet maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task with initiative and creativity.
• Positive attitude, good instincts, and self-motivation.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service and uphold a positive company image.
• Answer phones and emails to address purchasing needs within the organization.
• Data entry of pertinent information with accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers on repairs and parts to verify invoices.
• Gather paperwork and upload into the system for records.
• Create and catalogue weekly and monthly department reports.
• Handle and direct incoming correspondence with vendors and CAMFS technicians.
• Support ad-hoc projects related to CAMFS priorities.
