Qualifications

• Purchasing Analyst I requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration or related field (education can be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to two years).
• Purchasing Analyst II adds minimum one year of full-time purchasing and expediting experience and knowledge of bid documents; public agency experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes requisitions and requests for purchase; advises on alternatives and ensures proper authorization.
• Confers with departments to select, specify, and qualify suppliers; obtains price quotations and prepares bid packages.
