The City of Las Vegas invites applications for the Purchasing and Contracts Section Manager in the Finance Department. This leadership role oversees the Purchasing and Contracts Division, guiding Contracts Specialists, Senior Buyers, and Buyers to deliver compliant procurement and contract solutions.

Ideal candidate will supervise staff, manage complex bidding, and ensure adherence to NRS and federal requirements. Four years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Formación

• Four years of increasingly responsible experience in purchasing or contract administration, preferably in a government agency, including one year of administrative, lead or supervisory responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in purchasing, procurement and contracts or business or public administration or a related field.
• May substitute a combination of equivalent education and related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Manage staff within the Purchasing and Contracts section, including hiring, discipline, training and performance evaluation.
• Performs quality assurance of solicitations, contracts, modifications, extensions, renewals, and related documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure team is trained in procurement processes and knowledge of Nevada statutes and regulations.
• Support city departments in planning, solicitation development, and interpretation of purchasing policies and statutes.
• Prepare procurement reports and present metrics to senior management.
• Promote supplier diversity and inclusion for small, local and diverse businesses.
