The City of Las Vegas is seeking a Purchasing and Contracts Section Manager in the Finance Department. This role leads the division, supervising Contracts Specialists, Senior Buyers, and Buyers to ensure compliant, cost-effective procurement across construction and goods/services.

The ideal candidate will guide bid specifications, oversee competitive solicitations, and negotiate contracts while applying Nevada laws and city policies. Salary ranges from $97,284 to $126,469 annually.

Qualifications

• Four years of increasingly responsible experience in purchasing or contract administration, preferably in a government agency, including one year of administrative, lead or supervisory responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree with major in purchasing, procurement and contracts or related field; substitution rules may apply.

Responsabilités

• Manage staff within Purchasing and Contracts, including hiring, discipline, training and performance evaluation.
• Review solicitations, contracts, modifications, and POs for compliance with NRS, city policies and federal requirements for construction and services projects.
• Provide training on purchasing policies and applicable statutes; resolve complex issues in procurement and contracts.
• Prepare procurement reports and present metrics to senior management.
