Job summary

Aireco Supply, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support procurement, maintain replenishment, and strengthen supplier relationships from our Laurel, MD headquarters.

You will partner with purchasing, branches, sales, operations, and vendors to ensure product availability and profitability. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of purchasing or inventory experience, familiarity with HVACR distribution, and strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of purchasing, inventory management, supply chain, or distribution experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems; Infor Trend WebUI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels across multiple branch locations.
• Monitor inventory, demand trends, and replenishment requirements to support product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding order status, lead times, pricing, product availability, and shipment schedules.
• Support vendor negotiations and assist in maintaining pricing, rebate, and promotional program information.
• Review and resolve purchasing discrepancies, backorders, invoice variances, and receiving issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, vendor, and product data within the ERP system.
• Collaborate with branch personnel, sales teams, and distribution operations to ensure inventory needs are met.
• Assist with inventory planning initiatives and support seasonal and promotional purchasing activities.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices.

Position Summary:

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for supporting procurement activities across Aireco Supply, Inc. by ensuring timely product replenishment, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and fostering strong supplier relationships. Based at our corporate headquarters in Laurel, MD, this role works closely with the purchasing team, branch personnel, sales, operations, logistics, and vendors to ensure product availability and inventory levels that support customer demand and company profitability.
