Responsibilities

• Expedite orders and monitor stock levels.
• Verify specifications and prices with suppliers; obtain approvals as needed.
• Process item receiving documentation to authorize payments.
• Maintain organized records and ensure easy access to documents.

PURCHASING AGENT

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Purchasing Agent for a company based in Bessemer, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to specializes in electrical substation control buildings and communication shelters as an experienced Field Service Technician that can immediately contribute to increasing capacity within our Logistics Department.

Pay Rate

Pay is Strictly dependent on experience.

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 7 00 am to 4 3 0 pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed


• Assist Purchasing Manager with Daily Tasks


• Authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation.


• Communicate with Sales Representatives and Vendors


• Creating Purchase Orders


• Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.


• Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.


• Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.


• Obtains requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verifies receipt of items; authorizes payment.


• Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.


• Procurement of Orders Placed by All Personnel
