Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Construction Quality Assurance Technician for a Bessemer, AL site. The role focuses on electrical substation control buildings and shelters, supporting the Logistics Department with field QC.

Responsibilities include inspecting installations, verifying compliance with drawings and specs, and completing reports. Requires experience in QC/QA, knowledge of roofing/HVAC, and ability to read drawings. Benefits and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction quality control, modular construction, manufacturing QA/QC, or related field.
• Knowledge of roofing systems, HVAC installations, and door/hardware installation practices.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with inspection procedures, quality standards, and documentation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital inspection reporting tools.
• ICC, OSHA, or construction quality certifications.
• Experience with modular buildings, prefabricated shelters, or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of roofing membrane installation standards and HVAC commissioning practices.

• Inspect and document installation quality of: Roof membranes and roofing assemblies, HVAC equipment, ductwork, controls, and mounting systems, Exterior and interior doors, frames, hardware, and weather sealing, Shelter finishes, structural components, and integrated systems
• Verify work complies with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Perform pre-shipment inspections on completed shelters.
• Review punch-list items and confirm corrective actions have been completed.
• Complete inspection reports, checklists, and photographic documentation.
• Identify non-conforming work and communicate deficiencies to production supervisors.
• Work with production, engineering, and project management teams to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct final packaging and shipping-readiness inspections.

CONSTRUCTION QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Construction Quality Assurance Technician for a company based in Bessemer, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to specializes in electrical substation control buildings and communication shelters as an experienced Field Service Technician that can immediately contribute to increasing capacity within our Logistics Department.

Pay Rate

Pay is Strictly dependent on experience.

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 7 00 am to 4 3 0 pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect and document installation quality of: Roof membranes and roofing assemblies , HVAC equipment, ductwork, controls, and mounting systems, Exterior and interior doors, frames, hardware, and weather sealing, Shelter finishes, structural components, and integrated systems
