Job summary

Aegis Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Purchaser/ Subcontract Administrator in Webster, TX to manage government contract procurement and corporate purchasing.

You will handle the full lifecycle of subcontracts, ensure FAR/DFARS compliance, and work cross-functionally with Program Management, Contracts, Finance, Engineering, and Quality to achieve compliant, timely acquisitions. The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, or subcontract administration for government contracts.
• Experience in aerospace/defense/government contracting preferred.
• Direct experience with FAR/DFARS and flow-down requirements.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform purchasing for government, flight hardware, and indirect corporate needs.
• Solicit bids, identify vendors, and select suppliers based on criteria.
• Issue purchase orders and manage supplier performance and documentation.
• Administer NDAs with suppliers and ensure procurement records meet DCMA standards.
• Lead subcontract lifecycle from proposal to closeout and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support audits and collaborate with Program Management, Contracts, and Finance.
