You will set up and operate punch presses and related tooling, troubleshoot dies, and handle changes with cranes and tooling. The role requires reading blueprints and understanding close tolerances.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a tool shop environment or machining role.
• Experience with stamping dies and punch presses preferred.
• CNC experience and basic programming ability.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and close tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various tool room and punch press equipment.
• Plan machining sequence and verify tool design with measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot forming problems with progressive stamping dies.
• Operate die cart and crane to move and lift dies; complete tooling changes and die sharpening.
• General maintenance and cleaning on dies; maintain housekeeping standards.
• Interpret blueprints and work with close tolerances; communicate technical information between design and manufacturing.
