Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Montpelier, IN is seeking a Punch Press Setup/Operator for the 3rd shift (10pm–6am) with training on the 1st shift. You will operate a punch press, read measuring tools, perform die-setups, load materials, and maintain quality while complying with safety and housekeeping standards.

Overtime may be required. Compensation starts at $24.02 per hour plus a 7% shift differential; benefits include medical, dental, life and retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to operate forklift.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Basic math understanding.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch press.
• Reads measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers).
• Performs adjustments and replacements to maintain quality.
• Complete die setups in press.
• Load steel and move scrap/finished parts.
• Operate PIV to deliver tubs and raw material.
• Use cranes to move steel throughout department.
• Operate die cart to load/unload dies.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
