Job summary

Clearwater Paper Corporation is seeking an experienced Pulp Mill Assistant Superintendent to lead manufacturing operations, driving safety, quality, productivity and cost objectives. You will serve as a technical resource and champion process improvement and capital projects to boost mill performance.

The role requires 5+ years in operations leadership within pulp and paper, plus strong Excel and systems aptitude. On-site Idaho location, with occasional after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of operations leadership experience in pulp and paper.
• Knowledge of industry operations, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
• Advanced systems aptitude with strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Availability to provide support outside of standard business hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, production and cost objectives.
• Coach teams in problem-solving to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Manage operational performance including budget accountability, improvements, and capital needs.
• Drive communication, performance reviews, and alignment through operating rhythms and meetings.
• Partner cross-functionally to support goals and business objectives.
