Endeavor Health is seeking a part-time Clinical Nurse Educator for the Pulmonary Medicine Unit at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. The role combines direct patient care with nursing education, focusing on staff development within the pulmonary department.

You will report to the Director of Nursing Professional Development and will work with the unit manager to elevate professional nursing practice, coaching and mentoring staff while ensuring onboarding and competency across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required or Diploma Degree in Nursing and Bachelor’s Degree in Health-Related Field. Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current Professional Nursing Licensure in the State of Illinois; certification within one year if not already certified; BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable.
• At least five years of clinical experience in a medical center, hospital environment or academic setting.
• Proficiency with computer programs (Microsoft Office – Word, Power Point, Excel) and virtual meeting platforms; Workday proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct patient care as needed and serves as a clinical mentor and resource for staff.
• Acts as a clinical resource; maintains visibility in clinical environment for just-in-time learning facilitation and/or direct patient care.
• Schedules educational activities across different times and days; supports role transition and mastery for staff.
• Colaborates with Clinical Nurse Manager to assess education and performance needs; defines education requirements.
• Develops unit/area competency requirements and organises unit in-services for new products, policies and procedures.
• Leads unit council development and participates in shared decision-making councils; supports safety, quality and patient experience.

Formation

BSN or Diploma RN with BS in Health-Related Field

Master's in Nursing preferred

Adult learner knowledge and expertise

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Flexibility in work schedule

Proficiency with MS Office and virtual meeting platforms
