Job summary

DeKalb County Government is seeking a skilled maintenance supervisor to lead a small crew in the upkeep of public infrastructure. The role covers roads, drainage, utilities, and facilities, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

You will coordinate daily tasks, supervise crews, and ensure efficient project completion on a range of site types. The position requires a valid Georgia Class B CDL and prior field experience in construction or maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance of public infrastructure.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
• Some assignments may require a Georgia Class A CDL and/or endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work activities; organize tasks and assign work.
• Ensure safety by monitoring equipment use and traffic control at sites.
• Lead street, drainage, and building maintenance projects; perform concrete work.
• Operate a wide range of heavy machinery and perform equipment maintenance.
• Prepare forms, reports, and records for projects.
