Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager (OAR) based in Los Angeles, CA, to oversee planning, design, construction, and closeout of major facilities projects as the Owner's Authorized Representative. Lead client liaison among design teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful delivery.

The role emphasizes managing budgets, schedules, and quality across public-sector projects, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and coordination with District staff and state

Qualifications

• BA/BS and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience in Commercial/Public/Educational Facility Construction with project values over $30M.
• CCM certification preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-construction, bid/award, construction and close-out phases of assigned projects.
• Review pre-construction documents and provide comments to Designers.
• Plan and prepare reports for upper management on project status.
• Coordinate with public agencies during pre-construction and construction for off-site work.
• Manage contractor daily activities, review contracts, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and related documents.
• Monitor project budget and schedule; ensure alignment with client standards.
• Review substitution submittals to ensure specifications are met.
• Negotiate Change Orders to achieve fair pricing and address schedule impacts.
