Job summary

Interwest Consulting Group is seeking a talented Construction Manager to lead public works and CIP projects across CA and NV. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and field teams, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and federal, state, and local requirements.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in construction/project management, knowledge of Greenbook/Caltrans standards, and a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and project management, preferably public works.
• Strong knowledge of public works construction practices and standards (Greenbook, Caltrans).
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field; PE license desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage public works and CIP projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Maintain project budget and schedule controls.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, consultants, and municipal staff.
• Prepare detailed project reports and maintain documentation.
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout documents.
• Attend status meetings with municipal clients and ensure compliance with plans and contracts.
