Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to establish and maintain positive customer service with the public, development community, and City staff.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage schedules, scope, budgets, and project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering reports and plans; prepare drawings, estimates, maps and charts; coordinate horizontal alignments and vertical profiles.
• Ability to work independently on project management and technical matters.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage public works projects, including client liaison, agency coordination, scheduling, and budget.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Act as liaison between City staff and internal/external technical groups.
• Make presentations to clients, city councils, boards, and commissions.
• Prepare engineering project proposals, task orders, scope, schedule, and fees.
• Prepare City Council staff reports and other required documents.
• Develop and implement project procedures and policies.
• Provide public outreach, create presentations, and participate in public workshops.
• Ensure compliance with local, State, and federal requirements.
