Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in construction and/or Civil Engineering Technology or similar, plus two years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license; must obtain Florida license within thirty days of employment.
• Must have a current Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certification or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Completion of FDOT courses in contract plans reading, earthwork inspection, sub grade inspection, base inspection, construction math, pipe placement, structures inspection I and II and asphaltic concrete testing within first six months.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the management of complex construction projects and activities, ensuring compliance with plans and standards.
• Manages project management activities of minor construction projects and activities, ensuring compliance with plans and standards.
• Assists in administration of contracts with contractors, consultants, and suppliers, including monitoring timelines and change orders.
• Provides budget oversight and reviews pay applications for tasks and project closeouts.
• Meets and communicates with residents to address project activities.
• Prepares informational notices and bulletins updating the public on upcoming projects and status updates.
