GitLab is seeking a Solutions Architect for the Public Sector (East) to work remotely in the United States. You will advise U.S.

government customers on how GitLab's Enterprise Edition and DevSecOps platform can address mission outcomes, own technical evaluations, and guide proofs of concept toward deployment. You will collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to design value-driven solutions, build Customer Success Plans, and advocate for customers by sharing insights with Product,

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-sales, consulting, or information technology roles, ideally with U.S. public sector or federal customers.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automation.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms in regulated environments.
• Ability to translate technical solutions to measurable business or mission outcomes and advise senior stakeholders on tradeoffs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including leading customer meetings and demos with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn and use GitLab's Solutions Architect handbook and resources.

Responsibilities

• Engage with public sector customers, onsite and remote, providing technical guidance throughout pre-sales with demos and workshops.
• Collaborate with sales to shape account strategies for government environments.
• Own technical evaluation processes including POC/POV design and delivery, tender support, and technical input into proposals.
• Lead creation of Customer Success Plans with criteria and handoff details for deployment.
• Build relationships with technical and business stakeholders to become advocates for GitLab.
• Serve as customer advocate to influence product and marketing directions.
• Maintain expertise in GitLab and related practices and create reusable assets.
• Run Value Stream Assessments to identify opportunities to improve software delivery.
