Job summary

Department of Revenue is seeking a Labor Relations Specialist to ensure compliance with labor and employment laws and collective bargaining agreements. The role involves representing the Department in grievances, before state bodies, and in negotiations, with hybrid work arrangements balancing in-office and remote days.

The position emphasizes coordination with FMLA/ADA processes, meetings at agency level, and providing day-to-day guidance to department managers.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of full-time or equivalent professional experience in business administration, public administration, or related fields.
• Substitutions: certificate for 1 year, Bachelor's for 2 years, Graduate degree for 3 years, Doctorate for 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Department and its managers in labor and employment matters at all grievance levels and before state agencies.
• Lead negotiation of collective bargaining agreements and participate in labor-management and safety meetings.
• Provide day-to-day counseling to Department Managers on labor and employment issues and coordinate with ADA/FMLA coordinators.
