Job summary

BDO USA, P.A. is seeking a State Government Finance and System Project Manager to lead public-sector modernization engagements embedded within state, county, and municipal agencies.

You will guide enterprise software initiatives, drive processes, and coordinate multi-team projects to deliver milestones across engagements. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of experience in project management, required.
• Familiar with ERP systems and technology implementation best practices (eg. Infor, Workday, Netsuite, Tyler, OpenGov, etc.), preferred.
• Experience with State and Local Government, nonprofit, and other highly regulated industries, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides project management support for client project management teams leading software selection, implementations, and system integrations
• Handles core systems and staff augmentation roles
• Develops, builds, and revises procedures and client playbooks for system rollouts
• Helps to protect clients from vendor scope creep and monitors project risks
• Oversees documentation, project timelines, and internal and vendor-facing deliverables
• Other duties as required to support changing client needs across different agency engagements
